Chapter Four

An eerie hush fell over the almost grassless field as the Eds were now face to face with their mysterious savior, a young oddly dressed girl around their age. Eddy inched over to Double-D and whispered, "I say we run! This girl can shoot fire from out of nowhere! You can't trust someone like that!"

"But Eddy, she just saved our lives!" Double-D whispered back.

The girl noticed them whispering as she cocked her head to one side with a little confused look on her face.

"I'm telling you, I say we run!" Eddy continued whispering.

"Eddy, your being rediclalics. We should thank her!" Double-D whispered.

Eddy growled. "Ed, you agree with me, right?" He said turning to face Ed. But he wasn't there.

The two looked to see their friend Ed, jumping up and down infront of the new girl, telling her how cool her recuse was. "OH MAN, THAT WAS SOOO COOL! YOU KNOW WHEN YOU DID THE THING WITH THE OTHER THING, AND THE FIRE AND THE SNAKE GOING DOWN AND.......!" He continued to go on as the girl just stood their and looked at him oddly.

"Uh, your welcome." She said. She gazed over to where the other Eds were. "Are you guys alright?" She asked.

Yes, we're fine, thanks to you." Double-D said as he began to walk towards her and Ed. Eddy just stood there, still not sure of the new comer. Ed ran over to him and grabbed his arm. "Come on Eddy, she doesn't bite." Ed said kidding like. Ed practicly draged Eddy over to the new girl.

When all the Eds were present and acounted for, the girl took a good look at them, and then said, "Its a mericlae you guys didn't get mangaled by that Midger Zolom. You all must be fast runners."

"A what?" Eddy asked all confused.

"I believe shes means that horable monster that was after us, right?" Double-D said faceing the stranger.

The girl shook her head "yes". "Yeah, thats right, but let me ask you all something. Where the heck are your weapons?"

"WEAPONS????" All the Eds asked.

The stranger looked at them for a brief monment. "Hey, wait a minutie, I get it. You guys all JUST got sucked into the game." She said.

"How did she know that?!" Eddy asked.

"Look, I'll explain everything...." She said. "But not there. This place is crawling with Midger Zolom, its really dangerous if your not eqiped with anything. Follow me." The girl then begain to head off to the direction of the small house Ed spotted earlier.

"WOAH! WAIT A SECOND!" Eddy shouted, stopping the girl. "Why should we trust you?!"

The girl turned around to face Eddy, put her hands on her hips and gave him a bit of a dirty look. "Because I just saved you and your friends hides and if you don't follow me to safey, you'll all be Zolom chow?" She said sarcasitly.

Eddy's faceily exprashion suddenly change as he thought of what the girl just said. He turned to Ed and Double-D. "What are we waiting for?! Lets follow her!"

"FOLLOW THE LEADER!" Ed yelled as he ran towards the girl. The two other Eds did the same.

"Um, by the way...." Double-D said. "We never got your name."

The girl looked back at the Eds and smiled. "Oh, sorry about that. The names Amber."

~ About ten minuntes later, like Amber promised, they were out of the dangerous field and on a foulishe grassy plain, just yards away from the farm house. All the Eds sighed a sigh of relef and sat on the ground to rest. Amber too did the same.

"Oh man, my aching feet." Eddy said.

"I think we got about a year worth of excurice from all that running and walking." Double-D said exsased.

"Boy, my toes are really cramped." Ed said taking off his boots. As he did, his feet let out a horabile rank that drew flys.

"Jeez, put your boots back on, Ed!" Eddy said pluging his nose.

"Oh, sorry Eddy" Ed said, puting his boots back on.

"Okay...." Amber said a little disdurbed. "I think now would be a good time to explain somethings."

"May I go first?" Double-D asked.

"Sure, go ahead." Amber answered.

Double-D cleared his throut. "Um, correct me if i'm wrong, but were you sucked into the game just like us?"

Amber hung her head with a "sad" look on her face. "Yeah, I was." She answered. "I've been trapped in this place for I don't know HOW long. All I was doing was playing my PS1 one day, and the system started screwing up. I went to unplug it, but then.........."

"A bright light?" Ed asked.

Amber looked up at the big Ed. "Thats right! How did you know?"

"Thats how we got here!" Ed said with a big dopy smile on his face.

Amber thought for a quick moment before asking the Eds, "Then, where did you guys get the system you were playing when it happened?"

"Lumpy here found it that the dump." Eddy said pointing to Ed.

"The dump?" Amber said a sort of a shocked tone. "Let me guess, are you all from PeachCreek?"

"Wow, good guess!" Ed said. Double-D then said, "Yes, we're all from PeachCreek. And I do believe we all forgot to intrdose ourselfs. My name is Edward, but you may call me Double-D."

"I'M ED!" Ed shouted.

"Yeah, and I'm Eddy" Eddy said.

"We're pleased to met you." Double-D said politely. But Amber didn't seem to be lisening. She had a stuned look on her face. "Uh, are you alright?" Double-D asked.

She snapped out of it and looked at the boys. "I...I'm was from PeachCreek." She said quietly.

"What!?" Double-D said stuned.

"Wait a mintuie, how can that be?" Eddy said. "I've been living in PeachCreek all my life, and I don't remember you."

Suddenly, it looked as if Amber was about to cry. "Like I said, I don't know HOW long I've been in this game. I guess I've been so busy trying not get killed or eaten, at I losted track of time. It must of been a good few years now! The game you were all playing must have been my game!

"But I don't understand, how did it end up at the dump?" Double-D asked.

"My best guess is that my family must have tryed to look for me ever since, and I guess they must have moved, and must have threw out the game!" She begain to start to cry.

Ed suddenly just realvied something. "Hey, wait a minute, Eddy, didn't something happened a long time ago."

Eddy looked at his big friend then got a look on his face. "Hey yeah, a good three four years ago, just before Double-D came a long! There was a new family that just moved to PeachCreek, but they didn't even stay long enough so ya get to know them. They moved away when their kid suddenly disappered and they just couldn't find......" He suddenly stopped and looked at Amber. "They couldn't find her." He finshed.

Eddy then suddenly thought of something. "Wait a minute! How are WE gonna get out of there!!??!! She just said shes been stuck in here for YEARS! SO WANT HOPE IS THERE FOR US!!!!!??????"
